Frequently asked questions
Common questions
What is the electrical certificate (boletín) and when is it needed?
It is the certificate stating that the electrical installation complies with the regulations. Depending on the case, it is usually needed to connect a new supply, or after refurbishments and extensions of the installation. An authorised installer issues and registers it.
Can I apply for a grant after the work is done?
It depends on the call, but many require you to apply before the work starts. That is why it is best to ask before hiring the work.
Which documents are needed for the income tax deduction for energy efficiency?
Usually the energy performance certificates from before and after the work, issued by a competent technician, plus invoices and proof of payment. Conditions and deadlines change, so they are checked before starting.
Are these services only for luxury homes?
No. They are for any type of home in Mallorca, whether a flat, a townhouse or a villa.
Can I install a charging point in a building with a homeowners' association?
In general, yes, following the procedure set out with the association. Guidance on the steps is provided and the technical documentation is prepared.
